Not as advertised

I bought four Surge blasters when the product was on kickstarter and I've enjoyed them immensely with the family. I purchased two Starfire gel blasters to add to the collection and both Starfires underperformed compared to the Surge. Specs claim gels being fired at 175 fps whereas the specs on the Surge blasters are at 170 fps. Both Starfire blasters shot slower and softer than the surge. (Gellets would bounce off vs explode on impact). Customer service hasn't been bad but not great. Responsive but not helpful. Stick with the original Surge blasters or gift these to 6 year olds

Best GelBlaster Around

The Starfire X is so cool. The glow in the dark gellets are our favorite. They are super bright. I loved that the GelBlaster came with gellets in the hopper ready to use. My boys were so excited not to have to wait to play.
